A four man team headed by Dr. Marion Tinsley and including Asa Long, Norman Wexler, and Tim Laverty will be traveling with Charles and Deloris Walker on a first ever USSR-USA International Checker Match to be held in Kiev, USSR November 24 through December 9, 1989. The event called by the USSR Draughts Federation as an International Checker Festival has been completely coordinated by the La Federation Du Jeu De Dames De L' U.R.S.S. headed by A. Kostiev. The participants will play on the 64 square board, a relatively new game to Russian friends.
